How to Renew Your Arizona Drivers License
You can renew your Arizona Driver's license by using these methods
If you are over 21 you can only renew the license up to 1 year prior to expiration.
There is no grace period. In other words your license will not be legal after it expires!

Car insurance is a requirement by law. Please visit our

By Mail
Some people are eligible to renew by mail. You must meet certain qualifications. Some of these qualifications are as follows

You must be between the ages of 22 and 68

You must have previously renewed your license in person

Your Arizona Drivers License must be active. In other words, it cannot be suspended for instance.
Extension
You may mail or fax an extension letter if you are out of state and your Arizona Drivers License has expired.
In Person

Show up in person to a local arizona dmv office.

Complete an Arizona Drivers License Application

Take your photo
-
Take the Vision Test
-
Pay the fee (SEE BELOW)

Give up your current Arizona License as identification. If you do not have your license, you will need to provide identification documents (See Below)
