oklahoma drivers permit - OK

To get your drivers license in Oklahoma, you need to apply for a Class D drivers license. You must have a Oklahoma license upon establishing residency. Please carry your license at all times. 

Oklahoma Drivers License Requirements

18 years and under (Graduated Driver License - GDL)

• No License

  • You must be at least 15 years of age.
  • oklahoma drivers ed - This drivers license can only be used while driver is taking lessons from an instructor.

• Learner Permit - (with oklahoma drivers ed)

  • You must be at least 15 and 1/2  years of age.
  • Must always have a driver over 21 years of age (with a valid license).

• Learner Permit - (without oklahoma drivers ed)

  • You must be at least 16 years of age.
  • Must always have a driver over 21 years of age (with a valid license).

• Intermediate License

  • You must held a Learner Permit (see above) for at least six (6) months.
  • Must have a certain amount of day and night driving time..

  • You must have held an Intermediate License (see above) for at least six (6) months.

• Unrestricted License - (without oklahoma drivers ed)

  • You must have held an Intermediate License (see above) for at least one (1) year.
