New Mexico Drivers License Requirements
18 years and under (Graduated Driver Licensing - GDL)

Stage 1: Instructional Permit (Learner's Permit)

Stage 2: Provisional License

You must be 15 and 1/2 years of age.

You must have completed Stage 1 (see above).

Must always drive with an adult over 21 years of age.

Must hold the provisional license for at least twelve (12) months.
