Georgia Drivers License Information

To get your drivers license in Georgia, you need to apply for a Class C license. You must have a Georgia license within 30 days of establishing residency.

Georgia Drivers License Requirements

18 years and under

  • Class C

    • You must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Class C 17 years of age

    • This is for people who have a valid drivers license from another state.
  • Class D Provisional License

    • You must be at least 16 years of age and have held an instructional permit for for 1 year.
  • Class C Instructional Permit

    • You must be at least 15 years of age.

18 years and over

  • Class C

  • Class C 17 years of age

    • This is for people who have a valid drivers license from another state.
